Subscription and Refunds

This page covers everything you need to know about Quilt Geek subscriptions — plans, free trial, how to manage your subscription, and how to request a refund. For general terms of use, see our Terms and Conditions.

Quilt Geek Subscription Plans

Quilt Geek is free to download on the App Store and Google Play. Two calculators are always available at no cost. A paid subscription — monthly, quarterly, or annual — unlocks full access to all calculators and charts. Current pricing is displayed in the app and on the purchase pages.

You can subscribe in three ways:

  • App Store (iPhone / iPad)
  • Google Play (Android)
  • Web via our website, processed through Paddle

Your subscription is tracked via an anonymous user ID generated by your app installation and managed by RevenueCat. You don't need an account — the app recognizes your subscription automatically on the same device.

Free Trial

We offer a 7-day free trial with the annual subscription plan. Monthly and quarterly plans do not include a free trial.

  • The trial begins when you start your annual subscription
  • If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged
  • If you do not cancel, your annual subscription begins automatically and your payment method is charged

App Store Subscriptions (iPhone / iPad)

Billing

Your Apple Account is charged when the free trial ends (for annual plans) or immediately upon subscribing (for monthly and quarterly plans). Renewal charges occur automatically within 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

Managing Your Subscription

You can view and manage your Quilt Geek subscription at any time:

  1. Open Settings on your device
  2. Tap [Your Name] > Subscriptions
  3. Select Quilt Geek and make changes

Cancellation

Cancel at any time in your Apple subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — you keep full access until then and will not be charged for the next period.

Refunds (App Store)

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases directly.

To request a refund:

Apple's standard refund policies apply.

Google Play Subscriptions (Android)

Billing

Your Google Account is charged immediately upon subscribing (or after the free trial ends for annual plans) and automatically renewed at the end of each billing period.

Managing Your Subscription
  1. Open the Google Play app
  2. Tap your profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions
  3. Select Quilt Geek and make changes

Cancellation

Cancel at any time via Google Play. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain full access until then.

Refunds (Google Play)

Refunds for Google Play purchases are handled by Google. For purchases made within the last 48 hours, you may be eligible for a self-service refund in Google Play. For other requests, contact Google Play Support.

Web Subscriptions (via Paddle)

How It Works

You can purchase a Quilt Geek subscription directly on the web. Web purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (18–29 Mora St, London, EC1V 8BT, UK), who acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment processing, billing, tax, and receipts on our behalf.

By purchasing on the web, you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Use and Paddle's Privacy Policy.

Redeeming Your Purchase

After completing your purchase, you will receive an email with a redemption link. Click the link on your device to connect your Paddle purchase to your app's anonymous RevenueCat user ID, activating your subscription.

  • Redemption links are single-use and expire after 60 minutes
  • If your link expires, a new one is sent automatically to your email address
  • If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or contact us at hello@designedtoquilt.com
Billing

Your payment method is charged at the time of purchase (or after the free trial ends for annual plans) and automatically renewed at the start of each new billing period.

Managing Your Subscription

Manage or cancel your web subscription via:

  • The link in your Paddle receipt email, or
  • The subscription management section in the Quilt Geek app
Cancellation

Cancel at any time before your next renewal date. After cancellation, you retain access to premium features until the end of the current paid period. You will not be charged for subsequent periods.

Refund Policy (Web / Paddle)

We offer a 14-day refund window for web purchases, in accordance with EU consumer rights legislation.

To request a refund:

  1. Email us at hello@designedtoquilt.com within 14 days of your purchase date
  2. Include the email address used for purchase and your Paddle order reference (found in your receipt email)
  3. We will process your refund through Paddle

Please note:

  • Refunds are processed by Paddle and may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement
  • Upon refund, access to Quilt Geek premium features is revoked immediately
  • After the 14-day window, you may cancel to prevent future renewals, but are not entitled to a refund for the current billing period

Shop Purchases (Digital Products)

PDF patterns and other digital products purchased via our shop are delivered electronically. Due to the nature of digital goods, all shop purchases are non-refundable once the file has been downloaded or accessed.
